Auditee complaints and disputes
In accordance with section 13(1)(c) of the Public Audit Act, 2004 (Act No. 25 of 2004), the AGSA has established mechanisms to objectively investigate and resolve complaints concerning our statutory audits. Complaints are categorised based on their nature and are handled in line with our complaints policy. Disagreements between auditors and auditees regarding audit findings should ideally be resolved before finalising the audit report. Unresolved disagreements are escalated through a structured process involving the engagement manager, business unit leader, and, if necessary, the provincial or national accountant-general.
