How do supreme audit institutions add value to the systems of government and how does this work impact the lived experiences of citizens in the countries they are in?

The G20 Summit, to be hosted by South Africa this November, is more than just a moment of national and continental pride, it also carries the shared hope that it will signal a gear shift towards the strengthening of good governance to improve the lived experiences of the marginalised all over the world.

Our municipalities remain in dire state and will not be able to make any meaningful progress without the support of provincial and national government. Most importantly, without the effective oversight which has characterised this sphere of government.
